This week on Heel to Heel, Elizabeth Gordon, President and founder of Flourishing Business, talks business with

Patricia Bowen, Consultant of The Bowen Group and Kimberly Weeks CEO of BKonnected Marketing, LLC, representing Atlanta Women in Business Loans Non Profit.  Atlanta Women in Business Loans (AtlantaWomenInBusinessLoans.org)

After decades in the corporate world, Patricia Bowen is currently directing her efforts toward fundraising and grant writing for non-profits in metro Atlanta. She started out as a copywriter for a multi-level marketing company that recruited women who had few decent earning options ‘back in the day’, and she’s never stopped supporting girls and women, no matter what her position, no matter what her company.  She moved on to a career in high-tech, eventually directing business partnerships in fourteen countries with dot.coms to Fortune 50 tech companies.  She earned a business coaching certification and then coached executives on her international teams, and went on to form her own company, Change Agents LLC.  Most recently she cofounded a senior move management company, Get Ready for Tomorrow, which helps the families of senior citizens downsize and move, and liquidates estates.

Pat has a Masters degree in Psychology, is multiple entrepreneur, a certified business coach, trained grant writer, experienced fundraiser, and currently sits on the boards of three metro non-profits, helping them raise funds to better serve their clients in need.

Kimberly West Weeks has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years, her career began with Wachovia Corporate Services and for the past 16 years, Kim has focused on providing financial services to community banks across the country.  She was President of QwickRate and most recently, IDC Deposits.  Today, Kim is CEO of BKonnected Marketing, LLC, which provides drip marketing services and sales consulting to small businesses and community banks across the US. www.BKonnected.com

Pat offered great advice to help all women recognize, believe in and learn to employ their own inner qualities and strengths. Listen up ladies, this will allow you to go confidently through your life, long after your ‘babeness’ has faded.

Her words of wisdom include –

We don’t need permission to be who we want to be and to go after what we want, but we may need help.

Seek help wisely, without giving up ownership of your dream.

You can never pay back all those who have given to you.  Pay it forward.

Kimberly shared great advice from her successful business journey in creating BKonnected’s multi-media and marketing approach to staying connected and communicating consistently allowing clients to build better, long-term relationships and grow with new clients.
