Stacey Gorowitz is a CPA with her MBA and a savvy entrepreneur.  Stacey founded her accounting firm in 1991 and has grown it to a thriving practice that services hundreds of clients, through the collective intelligence and creativity of an experienced staff.

Stacey’s company,  S.J. Gorowitz Accounting & Tax Services, P.C., does tax planning and projections, mergers and acquisitions, IRS representation, bankruptcy and litigation support, and trusts and estates.

Prior to founding the firm, Stacey worked with the International CPA firm of Price Waterhouse in Miami, Florida, where she worked extensively with closely held businesses in the areas of income tax planning and preparation, financial statement preparation and business consulting services.

In this Chic Perspective, Stacey reveals the strategies she has used to grow her firm beyond just her, how she overcame obstacles, and how she planned ahead to get where she was headed.

She also talks about mistakes she has seen other business owners make that can cost them time, money and competitive advantage.

Heidi Richards was my guest today on the Chic Perspectives Show.  Heidi Richards is an author, business coach and entrepreneur. She is the Founder and CEO of the Women’s ECommerce Association International (WECAI).

A writer and professional speaker, Heidi enjoys traveling to new countries, learning new cultures and sharing a woman’s perspective on marketing, leadership and running a business.

Heidi has written eight books and co-authored two, published and edited four ebooks, and publishes a quarterly international magazine WE Magazine for Women.

In January 2005, Heidi was named one of the Top 50 Virtual Women Shaping the Internet for 2005. And she even has a day named after her! Heidi Richards Day is June 26th.

In this Chic Perspective Show, Heidi discusses the advantages in being a woman in business today, how the worldwide economic slowdown has affected her growth, and how important the internet and social media are to her business.

She also highlights some of the various techniques she uses to market her company.
